Introducing John Fodder, a generic gun-for-hire henchman working in the underbelly of modern day Chicago. But, when an arms deal turns bad, Fodder is killed in a blazing firefight, only to awake in the year 1635 dressed as a French Musketeer on the front lines of a battle with no idea how he got there. Now, trapped in time and with it quickly running out, Fodder's destiny is fused with the mysterious raw crystal that makes time travel possible as he races across centuries with the beautiful, intelligent, and immaculate Wendi Sinclair to stop the dastardly Damien Callus from obtaining total control of the timeline. All this, while Fodder desperately searches for a cure before he himself implodes into the crystal's temporal energy.
FODDER is an explosive time travel adventure crossed with science fiction fantasy and is the debut novel for Cory Gilchrist, a University of Arizona Bachelor of Fine Arts Graduate. An Arizona native raised under the desert sun who currently resides on the gulf coast of Florida; Cory has always been fascinated by sweeping tales of swashbuckling heroes exploring the world, drawing inspiration from the foundational authors of science fiction adventure such as Edgar Rice Burroughs and H.G. Wells while evoking the action spectacle of an Ian Fleming 007 novel and the unraveling mystery found in Dan Brown thrillers. When not typing away at the next chapter, you can find Cory at the cinema on a weekly basis. He finds great joy and fulfillment devoting his time to studying the art of storytelling in all forms, formats, and genres. Cory strongly believes every book you read or film you watch offers a unique insight and perspective to enhance one's own inspiration and foster creativity, one page and one frame at a time, inspiring his debut novel that explores what it takes to step out of the crowd, claim your own identity, and the willingness to accept your destiny.
