Steve McCorriston is Professor of Agricultural Economics in the Department of Economics, University of Exeter Business School, University of Exeter. He serves as Editor of the European Review of Agricultural Economics and formerly was Associate Editor of the American Journal of Agricultural Economics. His research interests focus on trade and competition issues and he has published widely in these areas. He was coordinator of the "Transparency of Food Prices " project (TRANSFOP) financed by the EU and has served as a consultant to the OECD, the UN FAO, the UK Department of Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Department for International Development (DfID). In 2011, he was awarded the Quality of Policy Contribution award (joint with Donald MacLaren) by the European Association of Agricultural Economists for their work on state trading in international markets.
