E. Roshan Ara Begum wurde am 14. Januar 1984 in Madurai, Tamilnadu, Indien, geboren. Sie studierte im Grund- und Aufbaustudium am Lady Doak College in Madurai und erwarb später einen Master of Philosophy am American College in Madurai. Derzeit promoviert sie in Zoologie im Bereich Gewebezüchtung.
