Pat Twomey, a retired lecturer from University College Cork, combines his professional expertise in sociology and social policy with his personal fascination for history. His passion for uncovering forgotten stories was sparked by a trip to Archangel to visit a memorial commemorating his grandfather, Edward Gallagher. After years of exhaustive research, Twomey brings this remarkable true story to life in his debut historical book. He lives in Cork with his wife and enjoys running, bridge, and chess.
