Robert Goddard wurde in Hampshire geboren, wo er auch heute noch mit seiner Frau lebt. Er lehrte Geschichte an der Universität von Cambridge, bevor er sich ausschließlich seiner schriftstellerischen Arbeit widmete. Alle seine Romane sind internationale Bestseller.
