Autorenporträt
M Serhat Semerciölu has bachelor's degree in primary school teaching and a doctorate degree in primary school education, and is currently working as a faculty member and department head at Department of Social Services (Refugee Students) at Gümü¿hane University, Türkiye. He has published more than 20 publications in national and international journals/books and presented many papers in domestic/international scientific meetings. His research interests include primary school education, refugee education, first literacy teaching and professional skills of primary school teachers. Ahmet O¿uz Akçay is an associate professor of primary education at Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Eskisehir, Türkiye. He received his B.A. in primary education from Selcuk University, Konya, Türkiye. He was awarded a full scholarship by the Turkish Ministry of National Education to pursue a master and doctorate in primary education in the United States. He completed his Master's degree in curriculum instruction at the University of Texas, USA. Dr. Akçay earned his doctorate degree at Duquesne University, USA in 2016. Throughout his time in graduate school, he actively engaged in various projects and worked as a researcher primarily focused on teacher professional development of mathematics teaching. His research focuses on mathematics education (primary school student and refugee children), STEM education, technology integration, teacher preparation, and teacher education.
