Love, betrayal, longing, and the pursuit of self-discovery-these are the themes that thread through this collection of poignant poems. In this deeply introspective work, the poet explores the complexities of human relationships, from the tenderness of sibling love to the unconditional bonds of parents. With delicate verse, the poems reflect on the bittersweet nostalgia of childhood and the emotional weight of unspoken dreams. Each word carries the weight of vulnerability-whether it's the raw ache of betrayal or the quiet joy of healing. The collection is also infused with philosophical musings on life's uncertainties, dreams, and the constant tension between our inner desires and the external forces shaping us. A journey of personal growth and reflection, this book invites readers to not only look inward but also see the world in a new light-one where love, loss, and the search for meaning are intertwined. These poems offer more than just words-they are a mirror to our own experiences, a reminder that even in our darkest moments, we are never truly alone.
Autorenporträt
Srividya Yeluripati's writing journey began in school, when she created a comic book as a gift for her mother in 7th grade-a heartfelt project that sparked her connection to storytelling. A pivotal moment in her literary journey came when she read Robert Frost's "Stopping by the Woods," particularly the line "miles to go before I sleep," which resonated with her deeply and ignited a lifelong passion for poetry. Writing in a free-verse style, Srividya crafts her poems with raw emotion and introspective questions. Her work explores themes of love, betrayal, self-discovery, healing, and philosophy, capturing the complexities of human experience with authenticity and depth. Through her writing, she seeks to provoke thought and evoke the emotions we feel daily, encouraging readers to reflect on the nuances of their own lives. Srividya's love for literature was further shaped by her first encounter with R.K. Narayan's Bachelor of Arts, a novel that opened doors to new literary worlds. She has contributed to two poetry anthologies and continues to write with the aim of capturing the essence of life's emotions and reflections.
