Autorenporträt
Osvalds Zebris (1975) is a Latvian journalist and writer. His first book, a collection of short stories, Brīvība tīklos ("Freedom in Networks"), won the Latvian literature award for best debut work (2010). His novel Koka nama ļaudis ("The People of the Wooden House") came out in 2013. His novel Gaiļu kalna ēnā ("In th Shadow of the Rooster Hill", 2014), issued in the series We. Latvia. The 20th Century and published in Itaian by Mimesis in 2019, won the 2017 European Prize for Literature. In 2019 he published the novel Māra. Zenbris is a member of the Union of Latvian Writers.
