Autorenporträt
Helme Heine, 1941 in Berlin geboren und 2025 verstorben, studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften und Kunst, ging anschließend auf Reisen durch Europa und Asien. In Südafrika verbrachte er wichtige Jahre; unter anderem begründete er dort ein Kabarett, brachte eine satirische Zeitschrift heraus und spielte Theater. Als Autor und Illustrator zählt Heine heute zu den international renommiertesten Künstlern; seine Arbeiten erhielten viele Auszeichnungen und Preise.
