Liz Leonard lives in New Jersey with her husband, daughter, dog, and cat. She earned her BFA at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in Boston. Solidifying her passion for storytelling, Liz focused on animation and film, often drawing inspiration from her childhood. She also volunteered her time serving on the board of a non-profit organization that led her to travel to West Africa many times. She is currently an executive in the hospitality industry allowing her to fulfill her love of travel.Liz's diverse background, complex childhood, passion for the arts and parenthood inspire her to write whimsical tales... all with a lesson in mind. Her books are based on memories from her childhood as well as her more recent travels.
