This book is an introspective reflection on the life of the author, Heather Thorne. She invites the reader into her life and shares some of the most difficult challenges she has faced. Autorenporträt
Heather was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. The older of two daughters, she came from a small, tight-knit family. Growing up in the 1960's, parents were firmly in-charge, and life was orderly. Heather's childhood ended abruptly with the death of her father in 1971.Heather undertook teacher training after finishing school and has been an educator in a variety of settings. In 2022, she established her own education business, HT Education. Its mission is to change the paradigm of adult English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction in Australia and offer an alternative to traditional classroom learning. In 2018, Heather packed up her life in Western Australia and moved to Melbourne. It was a life-changing decision in ways that she couldn't have foreseen at the time. She was looking for adventure, to live life on a bigger stage, and she has achieved that goal. Heather is a proud mother of two adult daughters who are highly accomplished and independent young women who also live in Melbourne. She happily shares her life with her partner of four years, who has shown her how to laugh and relax.
