Born in 1970, in Phoenix, Arizona, Taylor Grant was a two-time Bram Stoker Award nominated author, professional screenwriter, actor, and award-winning filmmaker. His work has been seen on network television, the big screen, the stage and the web, in newspapers, comic books, national magazines and anthologies, and heard on the radio. He started his career in children's entertainment, serving as a staff writer and development consultant for multiple production companies working on various projects, including Beetlejuice, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Bad Dog, and Monster Farm, which he created and co-developed for television. As development executive at Stan Lee Media, Taylor worked closely with the iconic creator, co-developing multiple web animated series, including The Backstreet Project, The Accuser, The Drifter, and The 7th Portal. In recent years, as Head of Global Animation at Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, Taylor executive produced the animated TV series Lore Olympus with The Jim Henson Company and served as a Business Development Lead on the global hit anime series Tower of God, as well as The God of High School. He also produced the horror feature film Gremoryland, alongside Roy Lee and Vertigo Entertainment, and wrote and produced the #1 horror series Rot & Ruin, a WEBTOON comic adaptation of the New York Times Bestselling novel by Jonathan Maberry. He wrote and produced two short films The Vanished and Sticks and Stones, which screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and received distribution through Sony and Shorts TV.As an author Taylor shared pages with Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, and many of the top writers in speculative fiction, with short fiction published in Cemetery Dance Magazine, Weird Tales, The Siren's Call and Weirdbook and in numerous anthologies. His first collection of short stories, The Dark at the End of the Tunnel (2015, Crystal Lake Publishing), became an instant Amazon bestseller and was nominated for two Bram Stoker Awards, for 'Best Collection' and for 'Best Short Story' ('The Infected'). His second collection, The Many Deaths of Cole Parker was published in 2020 by Running Wild Press. The Shuddering Breath Before Oblivion, a final tribute to Taylor, collects the last of his short fiction. Taylor died on September 12th, 2024.
