Darrel Lambert is an active police investigator for a major metropolitan police department. He has been with the department for over 18 years, including seven as a detective. He is currently assigned to the homicide unit, but has experience with the investigation of violent crime, including the physical and sexual abuse of children. In his role as a detective, he has conducted hundreds of hours of suspect interviews in cases ranging from simple assault to murder. He stepped into a teaching role on the subject of interviewing and interrogation in 2020 and with partner Valentin De Los Santos serves as lead instructor on interview and interrogation for his department. Lambert and De Los Santos have taught at the Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas, Texas, every year since 2022. In 2023, they co-founded Modern Interviewing Solutions (moderninterviewingsolutions.com) to teach police investigators from around the country how to conduct interviews and interrogations ethically and effectively. Lambert holds a Bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University. Most importantly, he is a husband to an amazing wife and a father to two wonderful children.
