Laureata in Medicina Veterinaria presso l'Università Federale del Piauí (UFPI), ha conseguito un dottorato in Scienze Animali presso la stessa università. Attualmente è ispettore agricolo statale presso l'Agenzia per la difesa agricola dello Stato del Ceará. Medico veterinario con post-dottorato presso l'Università Federale Rurale di Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). Attualmente professore ordinario presso l'UFPI.
