This book is very personal for me, and though I added fiction to it, it closely resembles my experience with my own rescue dog and how she eventually found her way into our home and our hearts. This book imagines some of the feelings and experiences that Gabby the Rescue dog went through in over one and a half years in shelters. It also touches on that wonderful moment for her when she found her forever home.
