Jodi O'Brien is Professor of Sociology and Women and Gender Studies at Seattle University. She is the author of The Production of Reality and co-editor of Sociology, Exploring the Architecture of Everyday Life: Readings. Jodi served on the editorial board of the first Contexts reader for introductory sociology, published by Norton. Arlene Stein is a Professor of Sociology and Women′s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University. She teaches courses on the sociology of gender and sexuality, culture, self and society. Arlene has served on the editorial boards of a number of journals, including Social Problems, SIGNS, and Sexualities. Jodi and Arlene served as co-editors of Contexts from 2011 through 2014.
