Autorenporträt
Johnny Almond pastored churches for a decade and was awarded the degree Doctor of Theology, before being commissioned as a military chaplain. During his second stateside assignment, he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University, Madison, NJ. While stationed at RAF Alconbury, UK, he completed six courses at the University of Cambridge and earned a Cambridge diploma in religious studies. His chaplain assignments included Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan; the Air Force Academy; and Arlington National Cemetery. After retiring from the Air Force, he served as pastor of Colonial Beach Baptist Church in Colonial Beach, Virginia for 14 years. He served as pastor of Hull's Memorial Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia for nine years. He also served as Kingdom Advance Ambassador for Military Ministries of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board for 13 years. He is now available for preaching engagements anywhere across the state of Virginia. He and his wife, Beverly, have four sons, three grandsons, and three granddaughters. Pastor Almond enjoys yard work, golf, and classical music.
