Anmol Jain was born and raised in Mussoorie. His family is among the oldest in town, residing there since 1901. He has an MBA from a premier institute and, for two decades, has worked as a consultant with international development agencies focusing on climate change and rural livelihoods, particularly in the Himalaya. Author of the critically acclaimed book Wanderings in the Land of Mist: The Complete Story of Mussoorie, he also writes for The Times of India. He is an inveterate vagabond in his spare time--roaming the mountain slopes, meeting people and indulging in captivating gossip.
