TIRED OF LIVING NEAR DISCOURTEOUS HUMANS, GIGANTA stomps over miles of rough lava fields in the coursing rain hoping to find the trolls who left her behind when they migrated to the secret places deep within the volcanic mountains of Iceland. On the way she encounters, Gustaf, Head Scout for the Inner Earth Elves, who leads her through darkened tunnels and down treacherous paths deep within the earth. He guides her to the hidden Elf Kingdom where she meets Ilg, another troll, who lives among the elves. When an earthquake rocks the Elf Kingdom, Queen Drotti of the Elves sends Giganta, Ilg, and Gustaf on a dangerous mission to discover the cause of the terrible disruption. The journey, fraught with hardship, takes them to Musterihof, the Great Temple, where Giganta learns that all life on earth is in grave danger. With the land and their lives threatened, the three companions return to the Elf Kingdom. Using newfound skills, a cunning plan, and a little magic they find a way to turn back the tide that is destroying the earth.
After graduating from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA with a degree in Illustration, RA Cook formed HMA Publishing to house her creative work. "These whimsical creations needed a place to live outside my head so I formed HMA. The initials stand for the first letter of each of my grandsons' name: Haakon, Marius and Anders." "Since they were tiny children, my grandsons have been beta listeners/readers, colorers and critquers of Grandma's stories. Bless those boys. They are my best and worst critics."RA Cook lives in the Pacific Northwest. She spends her time creating: writing, sketching, illustrating, narrating her stories, and working in the garden for inspiration. When asked what makes her happy she says, "my stories, illustrations, bountiful garden and family." Sighing, she turns to look out over the diamond studded waters of Puget Sound. "And my special dog friend, Stuart. Life wouldn't be right without him."
