José Pedro Zúquete is Research Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, and Adjunct Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies in Washington, DC, USA. He is a political scientist whose research focuses mainly on comparative politics, social movements, and extremism. His previous books include the Routledge International Handbook of Charisma (ed., Routledge, 2021). Riccardo Marchi is Research Fellow at the Centre for International Studies at Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon. His previous publications include The Portuguese Far Right (2019). His research field is the right-wing radicalism (political thought, parties, and movements) in contemporary Europe, focusing on the Portuguese case between late authoritarianism and democracy.
