: Having a lifelong career as a Medical Research Scientist, and not being a morning person, the Author Dr. Margaret (Margie) Oulton had not witnessed a sunrise until well into her retirement in her 80th year. She was so captivated by this amazing phenomenon she decided to explore it further. With a change in lifestyle, and strictly as an amateur, she collected over a period of two years, a fabulous array of photos reflecting its everchanging position and glorious myriad of colors. Her photos were taken from both her country home on the North shore of Prince Edward Island, overlooking the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, and her city home in Halifax, Nova Scotia, gazing eastward across the Halifax Harbour toward Dartmouth. She has chosen some of her most spectacular photos for this book and she hopes that others who, for one reason or another, have never experienced the glory of a sunrise will find as much pleasure in reading it as she had in putting it together.
