Through a detailed and empirical analysis, we seek to identify the impact of family functionality on disease management. Thus, this research aims to contribute significantly to scientific knowledge and clinical practice in the field of diabetes and family health. This is an observational, retrospective, analytical, cross-sectional study conducted in the Family Medical Unit No. 69 "Marina Anaya" where patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the range of 30-50 years who attended follow-up consultation between December 2023 and December 2024 were included, excluding pregnant patients, with comorbidities and in insulin treatment.
