What if the darkest chapters of your story weren't meant to shame you, but to reveal the relentless love of God? In this raw and radiant memoir, Jihya Harris invites readers into the sacred spaces of her journey-from the flashing lights of the gentlemen's club to the quiet whisper of God calling her His daughter. Through abandonment, abuse, and shame, she was pursued by perfect love. A love that does not look away. A love that enters and stays. With graceful vulnerability, Jihya shares the honest moments of running, surviving, and awakening. Her story is not just about leaving the adult entertainment industry, it's about being found by a good Father who goes to dark places to bring His daughters home. Whether you're a woman seeking healing, a soul aching for a fresh start, or someone wondering if God could really show up in your brokenness, this book is a light in the shadows.
Jihya Harris's life is a powerful testament to God's redemptive love. Her story of being pursued by God in the unlikely setting of a gentlemen's club proclaims the truth that no place is too dark for His presence. Born in Busan, South Korea, Jihya immigrated to the U.S. at a young age and grew up wrestling with her identity as a Korean American woman. Before encountering Jesus, she carried deep wounds of abandonment and shame, especially around her story. Today, she boldly shares her testimony so that other women might discover the same freedom and hope she found. Jihya is a wife, mother, registered nurse, writer, evangelist, and advocate for vulnerable women. She and her family live just outside Portland, Oregon, a city known for having the most strip clubs per capita. When she is not caring for patients or ministering through Salt + Light Ministry, she loves sipping coffee, hosting women's gatherings, chasing spontaneous adventures, and finding rest in cozy corners of her home with her family.
