Gwendoline Gains grew up on a farm in the East Midlands. Following a serious riding accident, Gwendol then spent four years at Leicester College of Art and Design. This led to a successful career in London as Art Editor with various publishing houses: The Hamlyn Group, Conran Design Group, and Morgan Grampian. She later went to university and gained a combined degree in fine art painting and English literature. She has exhibited her work across the UK for the last 20 years.
