When life gives you a mysterious fire, make...an arson report? Trix's life is chaotic enough with her estranged mother visiting, managing her daughter's busy schedule, while questioning every parenting choice she's ever made. But when she's sent to assess a claim at a sanctuary for magical creatures, things go from smouldering to downright fiery. Between aggressive griffins, secretive witnesses, and a sanctuary that's struggling financially, Trix quickly learns that this case is more "magical" than "mundane." As the claim heats up, her insufferably charming supervisor helps her manage the magical mayhem that ensues, while Trix figures out how to navigate the sparks (of all kinds). Because if there's one thing she knows for sure, it's that nothing in this job is ever as simple as it seems. Will she unravel the mystery before the sanctuary-and her sanity-go up in flames?
Autorenporträt
Born in New Zealand, raised in Australia, A. L. Tippett has now made her home in tropical North Queensland. Her passions, outside of living in her fantasy worlds, are horse riding, and singing. She started her first novel when she was twelve but abandoned it after deciding that being an author wasn't a "real" job and therefore not worth pursuing. After seven years as an insurance broker and the birth of her two beautiful children, she has rediscovered her passion for writing. She is now living her dream of being a mum and author.
