This is an open access book. Embark on an enlightening journey through the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with Governance without Government. While most literature on the region focuses on conflict and geopolitics, this volume fills a critical void by highlighting post-conflict public policy and governance challenges. Featuring inclusive case studies across countries, each chapter provides a compelling and coherent analysis.

The book is designed for upper-level undergraduates and postgraduate students specializing in politics, international relations, and the political economy of MENA, while also proving invaluable for researchers pursuing thematic or country-specific work. With an interdisciplinary and international scope, it holds global relevance for reading lists in academia and policymaking.

Published over a decade after the Arab Spring, this volume stands out for its originality and empirical richness. By merging theory with real-world cases,it offers fresh insights for graduate students, policy professionals, and scholars working on governance in fragile and post-conflict settings.

As the region grapples with evolving governance challenges, Governance without Government serves not just as a scholarly contribution but as a practical guide for understanding and shaping governance in the MENA region today.
