The present study analyzes under the prism of its evaluation the governmental response against Covid-19 in the health district of Garoua 1er in the North Cameroon region. First appearing in the Chinese province of Wuhan in December 2019, it has affected all countries. On April 11, 2020, the Garoua 1er health district recorded its first case of Covid-19. To combat this pandemic, the government has taken a number of measures that actually encompass an appropriate health response and an appropriate socio-economic response. However, despite all the strategies put in place by the government to combat covid-19 in the district, gaps and imperfections remain. These limitations are observed on a general and practical level, and are linked to social and cultural factors, as well as to poor governance in the management of donations related to this fight. As a result, a number of ideas and solutions have been put forward with a view to revitalizing the fight to protect people against this pernicious virus.
