Graves to the left, graves to the right, but there shouldn't be a body in sight. Hettie's new croquet courts are nearing completion which should be a reason to celebrate, except not everyone is pleased about it. As she tries to find ways to appease the opposition, a visit to the old Woody Lake cemetery with her friend Marlee and the Mrs. B's, complete with afternoon tea, results in the grim discovery of a body freshly buried on top of Uncle Roscoe's grave. When the dead woman turns out to be a client of her croquet-playing friend, ghostwriter Belle Danvers, Hettie is drawn in to help Belle provide the woman's family with some answers. But despite turning up dead ends, someone thinks they already know too much. Will Hettie get to see the opening of her new croquet courts? Or will they become her memorial? Find the answers in this final instalment to the series.
Autorenporträt
Rennae Todd is the pen name of retired historian Irene Sauman. While Irene writes historical cozy mysteries, Rennae writes cozies in a more modern setting. But history has a way of creeping into Rennae's stories sometimes too. Which shouldn't be surprising. After all, everyone has a history, haven't they? Irene's history (and therefore Rennae's too) includes growing up on a vineyard and orange orchard by the Murray River in New South Wales. Now living in Western Australia, Irene has three children and four grandchildren, and a sister who beta reads her books for plot holes and to see how quickly she can solve the mystery. When not writing (or reading), Irene watches tennis, plays croquet, and has a reasonably green thumb, which means very little dies in her garden, unlike in her cozy mysteries.Irene and Rennae's books are available in digital and print at all good retailers. They share a website where you can learn more about their books. https://irenesaumanauthor.com
