Autorenporträt
Carol Cadou, MA (University of Delaware), is Executive Director of the NSCDA. In addition to editing and contributing to this volume, her publications include volumes and articles focused on American material culture, historic preservation, and the Washington Family. Ellen Boomer, a freelance author and editor, has written varied nonfiction content, including personal essays, as well as historical and cultural criticism. As a features writer for Capital Community News in Washington, DC, Ellen covered local events and profiled community leaders. She holds a BA in English from George Washington University, an MA in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles.
