The 'Green Economy' is an important challenge nowadays, where its practices are linked to the creation of environmentally friendly investments (photovoltaic systems, floating photovoltaic parks, wind turbines, alternative hydrogen sources, bioenergy), as well as the development of 'Smart Cities'. On the contrary, there are inhibiting factors for the promotion of the 'Green Economy', like the 'Green Paradox', which acts as an incentive for the rapid exploitation of mineral resources and by extension causes a negative impact for the environmental protection. In this context, the political directions and strategies must keep pace with prospects for sustainable development through the adoption of 'Green Economy' practices. The sustainability of the planet depends to a significant extent on the practices of the 'Green Economy' and their application is a critical parameter, with the orientation of ensuring a better quality of life for current and future generations.
