Pedro Aguilar-Zárate, PhD, is a Professor at the CONAHCYT National Laboratory for the Evaluation of Biotic Products-LaNAEPBi National Technological Service Unit of Mexico. Dr. Aguilar has published journal articles, book chapters, and edited books. He has directed undergraduate and MSc theses and has made presentations at scientific and academic events. He has overseen several research projects funded by government agencies. He is guest editor for several journals and a member of the National System of Researchers (Mexico). Mónica L. Chávez-González, PhD, is a Research Professor at the School of Chemical Sciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, Mexico. A pharmacobiological chemist, she is General Coordinator and Founder of the Bioprocessing Mx-LATAM Network, which promotes R&D in bioprocessing through interaction between universities, institutes, research centers, and industries in Mexico and Latin America. She has been awarded the Latin American Women in Chemistry Award as "Emerging Leader," by the American Chemical Society and the Latin American Federation of Chemical Associations. Leonardo Sepúlveda Torre, PhD, is a Professor of Chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, México, where he is also a leader of the Bioprocesses and Microbial Biochemistry Group. His postgraduate studies were related to topics on food biotechnology in the Food Research Department of the UAdeC. In 2011 he made a research stay at the Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering at the University of Minho (Uminho), Braga, Portugal. He has published scientific articles in indexed journals, several books, and book chapters, and he holds two national patents. Ann Rose Abraham, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Physics at Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), India. She has published books, book chapters, and papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for many international journals. She has research experience at Indian institutes including the Bose Institute, SAHA Institute of Nuclear Physics, and UGC-DAE CSR Centre, and has collaborated with international laboratories, such as the Université de Lorraine (France), University of Johannesburg (South Africa), and the Institute of Physics (Serbia). She is the recipient of several awards for her work. A. K. Haghi, PhD, is a retired professor and has published over 1000 publications, including books, book chapters, and papers in refereed journals. He is a research associate at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. He has received several grants, consulted for major corporations, and is a frequent speaker to national and international audiences. He is Founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Chemoinformatics and Chemical Engineering and Polymers Research Journal.
