Lieutenant Colonel Will Townend served as Project Officer for Firepower and Secretary of the Royal Artillery Historical Society. His passion, enthusiasm, and meticulous research were instrumental in bringing this book to life. Sadly, he passed away in 2010. Major Frank Baldwin is a retired artillery officer and a member of the British Commission for Military History. For more than twenty years, he has worked as a battlefield guide and has written extensively to support the Royal British Legion's tours and pilgrimages. The author of numerous publications, he also contributes a regular column to the Battlefields Trust Magazine and runs the blog The Observation Post.
