Cherie Johnson is the founder and director of Speaking in Colour, professional artist, educator, PhD candidate and proud Gamilaroi and Weilwun woman. As a mother Cherie started writing stories for her children, incorporating education and Aboriginal culture into the narrative. Although Cherie juggles many professions, she walks every path with a passion for Aboriginal cultural knowledge, incorporating this is in all aspects of her journey. Now as an author Cherie hopes to share knowledge and language with Australian children and educators.
