Produktbeschreibung
This edited volume considers the role of the political environment in election campaigning and ultimately in the electoral outcomes of half a century of elections in Greece. In each chapter, the authors analyse the political environment of the specific period, discuss the main events and protagonists, the design of the political campaigns, and attempt to offer explanations on the reasons behind loss or victory. Despite fragmented attempts to study such phenomena, there is no comprehensive work that focuses on the various ramifications that have affected and shaped electoral results for such a long time, covering the whole period since the restoration of democracy in Greece in 1974. The book has been developed following a series of podcasts with politicians, academics and political analysts.
