They both immigrated to the United States from Japan, meeting in 1974 in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. They have been married for over thirty years; have two children, who help with their social media; and a golden retriever, who also likes to star in their videos. They live in Southern California. Koichi Suzuki Kim and his wife, Aki Kim, (@akiandkoichi), are septuagenarian fashionistas known for their viral OOTD (outfit of the day) posts on Instagram and TikTok.
