A wholesome, heartwarming, and humorous small-town romance novella. Return to the charming small Midwestern town of Prairie Creek as Joey's story continues... A little over a year ago, Joey Finch moved back to her small hometown of Prairie Creek for a second chance at happiness. Now autumn has arrived and harvest is in full swing. As the magical season of crisp air, changing leaves, and pumpkin spice envelopes the little town, she has her hands full running her new coffee shop, Prairie Jo's, co-chairing the upcoming Fall Festival, and working on the fixer-upper cottage she now calls home. When Joey first returned to Prairie Creek, she wasn't looking for love. After all, she was still picking up the pieces of her life that had fallen apart back in Boston. Now, she can no longer deny the sparks flying between her and her high school sweetheart, Matt. But when an unexpected event causes her to question everything, she's torn between playing it safe and following her heart.
Autorenporträt
Born and raised in rural central Illinois, Lauren Noard resides in her hometown with her husband, daughter, two sons, one chocolate lab, and two black cats. A former high school English teacher, she left her teaching career in 2023 to stay at home with her youngest son, which has allowed her more freedom to pursue her passion for writing. She enjoys writing heartwarming, humorous women's fiction set against small-town and rural landscapes, mostly in the American Midwest. Although she's been writing since she was very young, The Prairie Creek Trilogy novellas are her first published works. When she's not writing or chasing her kids, she enjoys reading (of course), spending time with family, going for walks, and decorating her house for every season and holiday.
