Heart First, Even If My Hands Shake is a collection of 21 poems that explore the beautiful chaos of being human. From self-doubt and unsaid feelings to burnt rice, overthinking compliments, and quiet acts of courage, this debut captures what it means to keep going-even when nothing feels certain. Written with wit, warmth, and just enough unravelling, these poems remind us that bravery doesn't always roar-sometimes, it sighs, spirals, or stirs tea. This isn't a guide to perfection. It's a soft place to land, one shaky line at a time.

Autorenporträt
Namitha Parthasarathi is a project manager, Toastmaster, chronic overthinker, and recovering perfectionist. She believes in the healing powers of good food, terrible puns, and honest poetry - even if she still cringes a little when people call her a poet. Most of her poems begin in notes, voice memos, margins, and once or twice, on her own hand. When she's not negotiating deadlines or imposter syndrome, she's probably thinking about what to eat next-or what to write about.
