The present work deals with a theoretical study of multifragmentation and collective flow in heavy-ion collisions at intermediate energies. This study is carried out using quantum molecular dynamics (QMD) model. The role of mass asymmetry of a reaction on the dynamics of heavy-ion collisions is presented. An extended version of clusterization algorithm is also presented. The role of Gaussian wave packet widths on the stability of nuclei is also studied.
