Born in Princeton, West Virginia, she discovered her passion for geology during her freshman year at Furman University, where what began as required science credits transformed into a lifelong career path. After earning her Bachelor of Science in geology from Furman and a Master's degree from the University of South Carolina, Tracy worked as an environmental consultant before founding Mini Me Geology and The Rock Detectives Club-educational platforms that make earth science accessible and exciting for children and families. Her Crystal Cave Adventures series merges her love of geology with middle-grade adventure fiction.
