Eben Heasley grew up playing in the forests of rural NH. He worked in the backcountry for the Appalachian Mountain Club, thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail (trail name, Stepping Stone), taught 3rd grade for over a dozen years, and helped raise two remarkable sons. Aside from writing, he enjoys carpentry, playing harmonica and guitar, strategy board gaming, regular meditation, and admiring The Sky Building People. He lives in Candler, NC with his wife, Dawn.
