This research aims to find out the frequency of pregnant women with hemoglobinopathies in the Lushnje's district, as well as the possible factors for this disease. It emphasizes the influence that pregnancy has upon the hemoglobinopathies' decurse (by the display of the clinical signs in the pregnant women who are hemoglobinopathies carriers, and the aggravating conditions in the homosygous hemoglobinopathies patients). The research shows the influence that the hemoglobinopathies have on the pregnancy decurse. The next and main purpose of this research is to prevent delivering homozygous hemoglobinopathies babies by screening the "dangerous couples" and having them checked to diagnose the unborn babies before being delivered. After being diagnosed, in the cases that are foretold that the baby is going to be a sick born one, the pregnancy is going to be interrupted.
