This book delves into the complicated relationship between a mother and daughter, which was strained by mental illness. It is a candid account of the pain and struggles experienced, and while there may be no regrets, it acknowledges the harm caused to loved ones. Her Mother's Daughter presents harsh yet honest realities. While not every reader may relate, it sheds light on common experiences and offers a voice to women who have remained silent or have yet to confront their mothers. It also provides support for those who long to confront their mothers but cannot due to fear or their passing, and validates those who have already confronted them but are unsure if they made the right choice. This book aims to heal and empower women, whether they are mothers or aspire to be, by addressing the complicated dynamics of mother-daughter relationships.
Autorenporträt
I am a mother, Navy veteran, Doctorate student (Clinical Psychology), author, walking in ministry and evangelism, teacher of youth at church, lover of museums, aquariums, and zoos, and cooking connoisseur. I have an Associate's degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor's degree in psychology. I started writing poetry at six years old. I entered my first contest when I was eight years old, when we still had Poetry.com. I won my first contest at ten, which surprised me. I have loved literature, English, and reading. I also love other forms of writing and poetry, such as African-based writing, mythology, and haiku. There is an affinity to math, science, and history mixed in, so I'm a conglomerate of many when it comes to education. I enjoy watching Kdramas, natural disaster movies, romantic comedies, and anime. I'm into video games, cars, and motorcycles. I'm an omnivert, some days leaning more towards the extrovert side, other days more towards the introvert.
