A field experiment was carried out to study the heterosis for yield and quality in okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench).The experimental material comprised of 8 parents, 28 hybrids produced through half-diallel and MH-64 as standard check. The data were obtained for seventeen characters including pod yield and its components. The crosses VRO 6 × Arka Abhay, VRO 6 × AOL 10-8 and Parbhani Kranti × Arka Abhay showed significant and desirable heterosis for pod yield per plant over standard check.
