This book deals with the ab-initio pseudo- and full-potential based computation of the electronic, mechanical, elastic, thermo-physical study of transition metal carbides (TiC, ZrC, HfC, VC, NbC and TaC) and nitrides (TiN, ZrN, HfN, VN, NbN and TaN) at ambient and high pressure conditions . Phase transition properties have also been computed. Mamta H. Chauhan (B.Sc., M.Sc., GSET, Ph.D.). Elle travaille comme professeur adjoint au Government Science College - Veraval (Gir-Somnath). Elle a synthétisé de nombreux nouveaux hétérocycles et étudié leurs activités antimicrobiennes. Elle a publié plus de 4 articles de recherche dans des revues internationales approuvées par l'UGC. Elle a également participé à plus de 9 conférences.
