A Very Killer Christmas: Snowflakes & Silencers All Rylee wanted for Christmas was to survive her book release party without puking on her shoes. Public speaking? Nightmare. Getting abducted by a hitman-again? Definitely not on her holiday to-do list. Not that she's ever been a fan of Christmas. Connor Jackson had one job: meet her in New York, drop off honey samples at a gourmet shop, and play the role of supportive boyfriend-slash-retired assassin. But when he arrives, Rylee's gone-and a message pings through: Kill the final mark, or lose her forever. The twist? The mark isn't just anyone. It's someone who matters-to both of them. Burned, hunted, and nearly out of time, Connor will have to break every rule, trust an old enemy, and pull off a miracle to get her back. Because this year, the uninvited guest isn't wearing red. And they're not here to spread cheer. A faced-paced Holiday-Romance! This book contains graphic scenes of sexual acts. There are also scenes of violence. If you find any of this objectionable or triggering, stay clear. However, with all this said, the book is healing and hopeful and depicts a positive, loving relationship between the heroine and her boyfriend, a retired hitman.
Autorenporträt
Kay spent the first part of her career as a professional artist, teaching full-time at the college level and showing her art. She has an undergraduate degree from Moore College of Art & Design and an MFA from Vermont College. Author Skye Warren's book, The Pawn, was the first romance book that she fell in love with. Now, she uses words instead of paint and wood to reveal universal truths and confront the human longing to connect. She believes romance transforms the heroine, the hero, and the reader and that reading a good romance takes you on a journey, healing both the author and the reader. Romance writer Calia Wild (A.R. Case) selected Kay as a mentee for the Romance Writers of America mentorship program, called RAMP, in 2021. Then The Wild Rose Press, Scarlet Imprint, placed her novel, Truth Moon, under contract, for a spring 2023 release. Plus, her second book in that series, Tarot Moon, is in the editing phase. Kay also writes for substack, What Do Romance Writers Think About? to give back to other writers the kind of support that she's been so privileged to receive.
