Author Karen Bernstein Shoshana, the founder and lead health expert at www.wellnessgirl.net, has helped her clients overcome chronic health issues including stress, fatigue, sleeplessness, resistant weight loss, and digestive challenges. A former attorney certified in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, Karen uses her extensive education in functional medicine, nutrition, and holistic health counseling to get to the underlying cause(s) and guide her clients to whole body health. The spark came from a crisis in 2006, when her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Learning how to meditate as a way to cope and to support her mother, Ms. Bernstein Shoshana was hit with a huge a-ha about the mind-body connection and the healing possibilities of meditation. Beyond that, seeing her mother lose command of her own faculties inspired Karen to pivot from law to a career that would help women take back control of their bodies and health. Her signature mandate works-she inspires them to become the CEOs of their bodies. Hormonious was born out of a desire to share her knowledge with as many women as possible who struggle with chronic issues and are perplexed to find solutions.
