In the present work the function of the cytoskeleton was investigated in the perception of biotic and abiotic stimuli. The synchronicity of the cell division was chosen as an indicator of the cellular response to an abiotic stimulus light, whereas a pathological attack simulated by an elicitor was used as a biotic stimulus. The results show a different response of the cytoskeleton to these two stimuli with regard to reorganization and signal transduction.
