This thesis investigates which methodology can be used to achieve the best learning effect in scientific educational games. First, an understanding of the learning process is developed and the essential prerequisites for optimal learning success are determined. Subsequently, the methods of several educational games that are already available on the market are examined. At the end of the study, the findings are used to develop a prototype educational game with content from entomology (the study of insects) and the results are compiled.
