Through Sammy’s eyes, the ordinary becomes extraordinary. How Sammy Sees the World is a heartfelt story about love, inclusion, and experiencing life the way Sammy does: full of kindness, warmth, and wonder. Sammy sees the world a little differently—and that’s what makes it so beautiful. Born with Down syndrome, he finds joy and adventure in places most people overlook. In How Sammy Sees the World, readers are invited to experience life the way Sammy does: full of kindness, warmth, and wonder. Told by his sister Lily, this touching story reminds us to look beyond limitation and see with love. Down syndrome isn’t a barrier but a doorway to compassion, creativity, and imagination. Together, Sammy and Lily show that when we truly look through another’s eyes, we find a world more beautiful than we ever imagined.
Autorenporträt
Elizabeth (Lily) Love Loudon is a young debut author with a big heart. She was born and raised in the Christian faith alongside her four siblings, one of which is her adopted brother Samuel who is the inspiration behind How Sammy Sees the World. Originally written when she was 10 years old as a bedtime gift for Sammy, she never imagined it would one day be shared with the world. Years later, her mother rediscovered the story and encouraged her to publish it. Today, Lily hopes that Sammy’s joyful spirit and story are a reminder that seeing the world through love is what makes it beautiful.
