Ryuho Okawa, a globally renowned best-selling author, revered World Teacher, and the founder and CEO of the Happy Science Group, was born on July 7, 1956, in Tokushima, Japan. From a young age, Okawa demonstrated remarkable self-discipline and humility, along with a strong desire to help others. His journey took a transformative turn in 1981 when he attained Great Enlightenment. Despite this profound experience, his humility remained unwavering, fueling his mission to share a universal Truth that unites spirituality, pragmatism, religion, and science into one cohesive source. Okawa graduated from the University of Tokyo with a degree in law and began his career at a Tokyo-based trading company. He was soon assigned to the company's New York head office as a Finance Officer. In 1986, Okawa left his prestigious career behind to establish Happy Science. Since then, the organization has grown into a global movement, with a presence in over 186 countries. Okawa has authored more than 3,250 books, which have been translated into 42 languages.
